The present invention relates to an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle, wherein the air conditioning apparatus capable of separately cooling and heating a front seat part and a rear seat part in the interior of the vehicle is capable of preventing unnecessary cooling the front seat part and separately cooling the rear seat part, thereby pleasantly cooling the rear seat part without giving an unpleasant feeling to passengers in the front seat part. According to the present invention for the above effect, an air conditioning apparatus for vehicle comprises a front and a rear seat air conditioning unit having evaporators and blowers respectively, and separately cooling a front seat part and a rear seat part in the interior of the vehicle by generating cold air after guiding a refrigerant into the respective evaporators, wherein the refrigerant is compressed, condensed, and expanded while passing through a compressor, a condenser, and an expansion valve before guided into the evaporators. The front seat air conditioning unit includes an intake door selectively receiving indoor air and outdoor air; and multiple mode doors installed on the air outlets of the front seat part respectively so that the direction and the volume of air discharged to the front seat part can be controlled. According to the present invention, the air conditioning apparatus for the vehicle further includes a control part operating both of the front and the rear seat air conditioning unit when entering a rear seat air conditioning mode regardless of whether the blower of the front seat air conditioning unit is on or off when the rear seat air conditioning unit is on by the selection of a user. |
