The present invention relates to a swash type compressor having a variable displacement having a fixating surface (360) of a start-up spring (340) inclined to an angle symmetrical to a fixating surface (350) of a return spring (330). The swash type compressor having a variable displacement is capable of making both fixating surfaces of the return spring and start-up spring be inclined at an angle symmetrical to each other, and a slide bush, which is in contact with the fixating surface of the start-up spring, is installed between the start-up spring and a swash plate to alleviate an uneven spring force of the return spring about the swash plate, thus minimizing the plastic deformation of the return spring, suppressing the generation of vibrations through the same, and improving an OFF-hunting phenomenon.
