According to an embodiment of the present invention, a scale removing apparatus includes: a transferring roll, which transfers a steel sheet in one direction; and a short blaster which is installed above the transferring roll and discharges a short ball toward a surface of the steel sheet, transferred by the transferring roll, in the widthwise direction of the steel sheet so as to remove scales on the surface of the steel sheet. The short blaster includes: a housing that has an inner space to which the short ball is charged, and has an open part having the width corresponding to the width of the steel sheet on one side thereof; an impeller which includes a plurality of blades and is installed in the inner space to discharge the short ball by rotations; and a plurality of discharging members which are installed along an edge of the impeller, includes a liner that guides the short ball, discharged from the impeller, to the one side; and are separately arranged to extrude from one side of the blade. |
