An external optical disk drive comprises a body and a cover. The body has an inner space where an optical disk is inserted; an open top; and an optical pickup which can be transported from the lower part of the inserted optical disk toward the radius of the optical disk. The cover is combined with the open top of the body to cover the surface of the inserted optical disk, and a transparent unit is formed in a position corresponding to at least the transport trajectory of the optical pickup. |
