The present invention is to quickly and accurately measure wet feed by a combination of differential operation of a main feed screw and a fine feed screw. The main feed screw has a large diameter to quickly measure only 80% of the feed to be measured. The fine feed screw is operated to measure 80% of the feed to be measured at fast speeds, to measure 10% of the feed at intermediate speeds, and to measure the remaining 10% of the feed at low speeds, thereby quickly and accurately measuring the feed. Screw chambers of the main and fine feed screws are provided with doors, and the doors are closed when the measurement is stopped. The apparatus is to overcome a problem of interrupting accurate measurement of the mixed wet feed in view of the measuring and feeding properties thereof, unlike dried powder or particles. Therefore, the mixed wet feed can quickly and accurately be measured by the combination of the main feed screw and the fine feed screw. The feed can be supplied to a compressive packing machine, and the supply speed is not delayed relative to the prior art, thereby satisfying the processing speed of a feed production line. |
