Panels of wood, fibre, &c. are provided along its edges with metal clips 11 constructed from spring metal and having its main flanges terminating in small inturned flanges adapted to enter narrow grooves or slots in the faces of the panels. Two panels may be hinged to one another by means of the metal clips such as 15 which have apertured lugs 14 integral with or welded thereon a pintle 16 engaging the lugs arranged alternately on the clips 15. The lugs 14 may be arranged on the webs or the flanges of the clips. In a modification, a handle may be formed integral with or have welded on the metal clip for use when the panel forms part of a drawer door &c. Specification 665,631 is referred to. |
