The method involves measuring and comparing temperature of heat transfer fluid in an outlet of a component exchanger (52) with predefined threshold temperature. An air conditioning loop is controlled according to a heat pump mode when the temperature is greater than threshold temperature, where the fluid is circulated in a heat transfer fluid circuit (2) while crossing a bi-fluid heat exchanger (34) in the mode and coolant at the outlet of the exchanger is circulated in a compressor (3) and an interior heat exchanger (11) that operates as a condenser to heat airflow for passenger compartment. An independent claim is also included for a thermal conditioning system for a motor vehicle.
