A moulding device (24) for manufacturing a rotor blade half shell for a wind turbine comprises a main mould (10) and at least one reinforcement (18, 18'), the main mould having at least one recess (14) and at least one main section (12) that delimits at least partially the at least one recess, and the at least one reinforcement being complementary at least in sections to at least one of the recesses in the main mould, the at least one reinforcement and the main mould being designed in such a way that the moulding device has a shaping surface (20, 20') for a rotor blade half shell for a wind turbine when the at least one reinforcement is placed into at least one of the recesses in the main mould.
