Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a method, device, and system for data transmission. A protocol frame transmitted by an RNC is received, where the protocol frame carries a payload of a UE and data transmission indication information; and, in a radio frame indicated by the data transmission indication information, an HS-DSCH protocol data unit comprising the payload is transmitted to the UE, thus allowing the UE to receive the HS-DSCH protocol data nit on the radio frame, and implementing a reduced size of header overhead, increased coverage range, and increased data transmission reliability.
