The present invention relates to an operation method for a memory system which includes a non-volatile memory device and a memory controller. The operation method includes the steps of: determining whether a write request from a host is a random write request; programming the sub-pages of a selected word-line in the non-volatile memory device as the recoverable data in the non-volatile memory device when the write request is a random write request; and programming the write data, corresponding to the received write request, on an upper page of the selected word-line after programming the sub-pages.
