A firmware updating method of an image forming device is disclosed. The firmware updating method of the image forming device comprises: a step of determining whether a firmware update of the image forming device is required; a step of obtaining a new firmware block distribution list from a tracking device; a step of receiving a firmware block from another image forming device based on the block distribution list; and a step of generating new firmware by combining the received firmware block and performing the firmware update by using the new firmware.
