PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesis method for a polyamide-imide resin in which a solvent that reduces adverse effects on the environment and human bodies is used, and heat resistance, chemical resistance and solvent resistance are excellent.SOLUTION: This invention provides a synthesis method for a polyamide-imide resin obtained by polymerization of (1) a diisocyanate compound and (2-a) a trivalent carboxylic acid derivative having an acid anhydride group in a solvent including an alkylene glycol alkyl ether.
