PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that enables a projection image to be captured without using an imaging device in a multi-projection system.SOLUTION: A projector constituting an image projection system projecting one projection image obtained by connecting a plurality of partial images to be projected by a plurality of projectors on a screen has: acquisition means that acquires a partial image allocated to an own projector, and acquires image data on the partial image allocated to other projector from the other projector constituting the image projection system; and generation means that generates capture image data on a projection image to be projected by the image projection system by synthesizing image data on the partial image allocated to the own projector with image data on the partial image of the other projector acquired by the acquisition means.
