PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging apparatus and a forging method which are capable of manufacturing a forged product with a boss part while reducing costs.SOLUTION: A forging apparatus 1 includes a rotary table 10 and a molding roller 14. The molding roller 14 is spaced apart from a rotation axis L1 of the rotary table 10. A position of an outer end portion 14c on an outer peripheral surface 14a of the molding roller 14, which is on the opposite side of the rotation axis L1 in a central axis L2 of the molding roller 14, is located more outside in a radial direction of a material W than a position of an outer peripheral surface of the material W after subjected to forging. |
