PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container alignment device which carries a container 4 by supporting the front and back of the container 4 with support members 12A and 12 and allows its combined use for large containers and for deformed containers.SOLUTION: A container 4 carried by a supply conveyor 2 in a reversed state is held with a robot 6 and caused to fall on correction means 10 to correct the attitude to an upright attitude, and the containers in an upright attitude are aligned and discharged by second carrying means 8. The correction means corrects the containers in a reversed state by making the containers stand with engagement bars 38 and 40. First and second support members for a basket 12 are attached each to upper and lower chains 50 and 52 provided in circulation transfer means 48 of the second carrying means, and a container is supported with the support members from the front and back side. The interval of the front and back support members is modified by changing the phase of the chain, and the chain can approach and separate from the discharge conveyor. The support members are movable in the direction perpendicular to the advancing direction relative to the attached chain. |
