<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter having the high effect even at low cost, for an inflator for an airbag of an automobile.SOLUTION: An expanded metal sheet 5 is used for manufacturing a tubular filter. The expanded metal sheet comprises a large number of rows of an opening part arranged so as to reduce a telescopic state when the sheet is wound in itself. Particularly, the size of the opening part or a pitch between the rows of the opening part and both of the size of the opening part are various so as to reduce the telescopic state when the expanded metal sheet is wound. The filter can include a meandering internal passage generated by an outer peripheral groove, a round corner generated by a point load process, a surface with a texture between the opening parts and/or an unbored hole area 9 of the expanded metal sheet. The filter can be used for an inflator for capturing slag by absorbing heat generated by powder charge of the inflator for the airbag of the automobile.</p> |
