<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an existence management system for managing connection between a supervisor and a person to be supervised in a multiple access communication network.SOLUTION: On receiving a contact request from a supervisor, an existence management system determines whether or not a requested person to be supervised can deal with the contact, to provide information on the determination to the supervisor who has request the contact. In consideration of the taste of the person to be supervised and the detail of equipment available for the supervisor, the existence management system selects an optimal communication mode (for example, E mail or facsimile). If the existence management system notifies the supervisor that the person to be supervised cannot deal with the contact, the supervisor can set a monitor. When determining whether or not the requested person to be supervised can deal with the contact, the existence management system uses stored information on the person to be supervised, information (for example, size and format) related to the requested connection, and a rule.</p> |
