<p>According to an example embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a roof box stowage apparatus for use on the roof of a vehicle, comprising: a box for stowing an object, the box being configured to lie on the roof of a vehicle; a carriage assembly, at least a part of which is arranged to carry the object; a lifting configuration for lifting the object into contact or engagement with a part of the carriage assembly; a carriage assembly moving unit for moving a part of me carriage assembly into and out of the box, and for stowing and/or unloading of the object in contact or engagement with the object; wherein the box is configured to remain stationary during the fitting and stowage, or unloading, of the object.</p> |
