PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable shading caused by pupil division to be surely corrected, and to easily obtain a stereoscopic image having a fewer shading difference than in a two-dimensional image.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises: an image pickup element 16 having a first pixel group and a second pixel group for photoelectrically converting each of beams having passed through different regions of a single photographic optical system 12, and capable of generating a first image composed of output values of the first pixel group and a second image composed of output values of the second pixel group, the image pickup element 16 including pixel addition means capable of generating a two-dimensional image by adding pixel values of the first pixel group and pixel values of the second pixel group together; and an image processing unit 24 for causing a shading shape of the first image and a shading shape of the second image to be matched with a shading shape of the two-dimensional image by performing an arithmetic operation on the output values of the first and second pixel groups using a correction coefficient stored in a memory 48. |
