Disclosed is an indirect lighting apparatus (1) capable of increasing the symmetry of a illumination upon a surface even when a light source is installed upon an end portion of the illuminated surface. The indirect lighting apparatus (1) projects light upon either a wall surface (5) or a ceiling surface (3), providing illumination by the light that is reflected therefrom, the indirect lighting apparatus (1) comprising an LED light array (14), further comprising a plurality of LEDs (13) that are disposed in a linear array upon one end of either the wall surface (5) or the ceiling surface (3), and a light positioning lens (15) that controls the positioning of light that projected from the LED light array (14), wherein the light positioning lens (15) is formed such that the surface illumination upon either the wall surface (5) or the ceiling surface (3) by way of precomputed light positioning lines is uniform. |
