PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee joint brace capable of reducing a burden on the front surface side of a knee joint even when a large load is applied to the front surface side of the knee joint in a state where a knee is nearly stretched.SOLUTION: A knee joint brace includes: a thigh-side mounting part 2 to be mounted on a thigh on the upper side of a knee joint A; a lower-leg-side mounting part 3 to be mounted on a lower leg on the lower side of the knee joint A; a pair of connection parts 4 for turnably connecting rear sides of the lower-surface-side intermediate part of the thigh-side mounting part 2 to rear sides of the upper-surface-side intermediate part of the lower-leg-side mounting part 3 on both right and left sides of the knee joint A; a first projection 2b formed at a front-side lower end of the thigh-side mounting part 2; and a second projection 3b formed at a front-side upper end of the lower-leg-side mounting part 3 so as to face the first projection 2b. The first and second projections 2b and 3b come into contact with each other just before the knee is substantially fully stretched in walking in a state where the thigh-side mounting part 2 and the lower-leg-side mounting part 3 are mounted on the thigh and the lower leg respectively. |
