PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for terminal treatment of a coaxial cable which can reduce the operation time for terminal treatment and suppress abrasion of an outer conductor.SOLUTION: A terminal treatment apparatus for a coaxial cable is for terminal treatment of a coaxial cable 21 in which an insulator 23 and an outer conductor 24 are arranged, in order, around a central conductor 22 and is provided with a flaring member 2 comprising a cylindrical insulator push-in part 3 which is provided with a central conductor by-pass hole 5 for allowing the central conductor 22 to escape and pushes in the insulator 23 with its tip end surface and a flaring part 4 which protrudes integrally and coaxially from the base end part of the insulator push-in part 3, is formed in a truncated-conical shape, with its outer diameter increasing gradually as separating from the insulator push-in part 3, and expands the outer conductor 24 in a tapered form when pushed into the terminal of the coaxial cable 21. |
