The invention relates to a device for cleaning inkjet printheads, which is intended to clean the heads using a pressurised fluid selected from a liquid solvent and a gaseous fluid, such as air. The pressurised fluid flows through the spaces inside the ink printheads that the ink normally flows through during inkjet printing, in such a way that the fluid flows in two directions to provide much more effective cleaning. The ink printhead to be cleaned is introduced into a main basin, such that the lower part of the ink printhead is immersed in a liquid solvent contained in the first basin. The device also comprises, among other elements, a level control device for controlling the optimum height of the liquid solvent in the main basin. |
