The chair or stool (10) has a seat surface (11) arranged on a condition frame. The seat surface is provided with a front hygiene recess (14) and a rear hygiene recess (15). The front hygiene recess and the rear hygiene recess are separated from each other by a connecting web (13) along a transverse direction of the seat surface. A plan view surface of the rear hygiene recess is larger than the front hygiene recess. Depth of the rear hygiene recess is half of an extension of the seat surface along a depth direction.
