The present invention relates to a terminal device to provide surrounding environment information which includes: an authentication unit which authenticates a call connection with a portable phone; a surrounding environment sensing unit which senses at least one external environment factor in a surrounding environment; a surrounding information supplying unit which supplies a result to the portable phone if the value of the external environment factor is out of a preset critical range; an image obtaining unit which obtains a surrounding image by photographing the surrounding environment; and an image supplying unit which supplies the surrounding image to the portable phone. The surrounding environment sensing unit senses the external environment factor about at least one of a temperature, moisture, a noise, a vibration, and movement in the surrounding environment.
