<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can be expected to achieve both guarantee of printing and suppression of print delay for individual apparatuses.SOLUTION: A printer 100 includes an exposure unit 53 that exposes an image carrier 51 on the basis of print data held in a RAM 33, a conveying member that conveys a sheet along a conveyance path 11, and a pre-registration sensor 61 that outputs signals according to the presence or absence of the sheet at a detection point on the conveyance path 11. The printer 100 causes the exposure unit 53 to perform exposure on the basis of a timing of change of the output signals from the pre-registration sensor 61, measures the size in a conveyance direction of the sheet on the basis of the timing of change of the output signals from the pre-registration sensor 61, and stores a difference value obtained from a difference between the measured size and a reference size of the sheet. The printer 100 also determines a holding amount at which the print data is held in the RAM 33 on the basis of difference values stored as a history prior to the current difference value.</p> |
