PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal head device that makes it possible to automatically provide a display by a display part corresponding to an installation position of the universal head device, by using the power of a wiper provided on the camera housing of the universal head device. ! SOLUTION: A universal head device having a wiper on a camera housing accommodating a camera comprises: means for instructing a position for a universal head to be installed; and means for changing the starting position of the wiper according to the instruction. The camera housing has a first display part corresponding to the first position of the universal head, and is made to correspond to the first starting position of the wiper. Additionally, the camera housing has a second display part corresponding to the second position of the universal head, and is made to correspond to the second starting position of the wiper. !
