The invention relates to a wind turbine the rotor and generator of which are connected to each other via a flexible drive. A compromise between tower height and length of the flexible drive can be achieved by arranging the generator not at the top of the tower and not at the bottom of the tower. The tower can be lightweight and high since the top of the tower only has to support the rotor weight. |
