The method involves feeding pressurized gas through a drive unit (28) that drives a generator. The liquid gas is heated so that the liquid gas passes to gaseous phase and related gas is passed over the drive unit under primary pressure. The light emerging from the drive unit of gas is relaxed at secondary pressure which is lower than the primary pressure and liquefied and liquid gas is supplied to circuit. The liquid gas is provided from an external source. The liquid gas is heated by ambient heat and waste heat of generator. The nitrogen is used as liquid gas. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an apparatus for generating electrical energy; and (2) an apparatus for generating kinetic energy.
