The wheel bearing unit is axially fixed with an inner ring (17) that is rotatable together with a wheel hub (2) using a rolling rivet (19) of the hub. The hub is biased to a rolling body (1) with respect to a stationary outer ring (3). The elevated of the inner ring broadening on the rolling rivet is increased radially over an outer rolling element raceway of the inner ring. The inner ring is provided as carrier of a surface on the inner ring attached signal transmitter.
