The present invention relates to a polymer membrane whereby ionic liquid functional groups are introduced in polymer side chains, and to a manufacturing method thereof, and more specifically, to a polymer membrane whereby ionic liquid functional groups having excellent thermal and mechanical stability, and very high CO_2/N_2 and O_2/N_2 transmission selectivity and solubility of carbon dioxide are introduced in polymer side chains; and to a manufacturing method thereof. The polymer membrane whereby ionic liquid functional groups are introduced in polymer side chains according to the present invention is characterized in that that ionic liquid functional groups are chemically combined with rigid polymer side chains.
