Abstract The present invention generally relates to systems and computer implemented methods for facilitating trading of market-traded financial assets and a method for operating the system. At a general level, the system includes instructions which when executed by a computer processing device (such as a processing unit) enable the system to (i) receive a user order request to purchase a market-traded financial asset, for example, from a networked client device, the user order request including a user specified value associated with the financial asset, (ii) determine a monetary purchase amount based at least in part on the user specified value, (iii) determine at least a first limit purchase price with respect to the financial asset included in the user request, (iv) determine at least a first quantity of the financial asset that can be purchased taking into account the first limit purchase price of the financial asset and the monetary purchase amount, and (v) transmit a purchase instruction to a market server to place an order for the financial asset, the purchase instruction including at least an identifier for the financial asset, the determined quantity and the determined limit purchase price. 104 108 110 Client system M4arket server seeear Trade faciltation server Figure 1 202 . 206 208 210 Processing System Volatile Non-volatile unit memory memory memory Input Output Communications Port(s) device(s) device(s) interface(s) 214 216- 218- 220 Figure 2 |
