PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood glucose meter with which a patient can surely perform blood glucose level measurement after eating and that has both high functionality and simplicity.SOLUTION: A blood glucose meter 101 is provided with an after-meal alarm function for informing a patient that an after-meal blood glucose measurement time has been reached. An input-output control unit 307 makes an alarm (a buzzer 211) sound when detecting that a current time obtained from a RTC (Real Time Clock) 204 reaches an alarm sounding time stored in an alarm time memory 309, and sets an after-meal flag of an after-meal flag memory 310 to a logical "YES" until a predetermined time elapses after the alarm sounding time to record the after-meal flag and a blood glucose level measured by a blood glucose measurement unit 301 in a blood glucose level table 306. |
