The supporting device (2) has a base body (3) which is connected with a base frame, where an adjusting- and supporting unit is connected with the base body. The adjusting- and supporting unit is provided for supporting a tub opposite to the base body. The adjusting- and supporting unit is designed in a height-adjustable manner such that it comes to place the tub on the base frame automatically with a tub section to a plant to support the tub. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a base frame with profile elements; (2) a device for aligning a tub relative to the base frame; and (3) a method for installing a tub in a sanitary area by a base frame.
