The present invention relates to a device and a method for displaying a three-dimensional image. The device for displaying a three-dimensional image comprises a display unit which comprises a plurality of pixels and displays an image according to image data obtained by processing input image signals, and a control unit for controlling the processing of the input image signals. The control unit comprises an image change interval setting unit which sets a first image change interval using the reference input value of a user; a computation and compensation unit which calculates the actual distance of a user who watches a display image based on the observation location coordinate data of the user, compensates the first image change interval to correspond to the actual distance, and calculates a second image change interval; and an image mode selection unit which selects an image mode implemented by the display unit, determines the location point of the user based on the second image change interval, and generates image data for each image mode corresponding to the location point.
