PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter, even when thickness of wires constituting a braid and the thickness of a distal tip are reduced, capable of preventing penetration of the braid through the distal tip, while securing welding strength of the wires.SOLUTION: In the catheter, a sharp residual part formed at a distal end of a first wire 26a by cutting is not left untreated, but is changed into a rounded bulging portion 27 so that the sharp wire formed at the distal end of a braid 26 is reduced. Even when a doctor strongly pushes the catheter having been inserted into a blood vessel, a risk that the distal end of the braid may penetrate the distal tip can be reduced. Further, the bulging portion 27 at the distal end of the braid 26 functions as an anchor with respect to the distal tip, so that the risk that the distal tip may be pulled off from the catheter shaft can also be reduced. |
