摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oxygen reduction catalyst which has excellent initial performance and is excellent in start/stop durability.SOLUTION: The oxygen reduction catalyst includes such a composite particle that a primary particle of a titanium compound is dispersed in a structure of carbon; contains titanium, carbon, nitrogen and oxygen as constituent elements in such an atomic number ratio that when the atomic number of the titanium is 1, that of the carbon is larger than 2 and equal to or smaller than 5, that of the nitrogen is larger than 0 and equal to or smaller than 1, and that of the oxygen is 1-3; and exhibits such a Raman spectrum ratio that an intensity ratio (D/G ratio) of the peak intensity of a D band to that of a G band is 0.4-1.0.
