PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyoxyalkylene compound, which prevents an increase in the TU value. ! SOLUTION: In the method for producing a polyoxyalkylene compound by addition polymerizing an alkylene oxide (b) to a compound (a) having at least three hydroxyl groups in the presence of an alkali metal catalyst (c), the acid value of the (a) is 0.01-0.17 and the CPR value of the (a) is 0.1-1.5.
