A nonwoven substrate for a lithium-ion secondary cell separator having a polyethylene terephthalate fiber as a main constituent, wherein the nonwoven substrate for a lithium-ion secondary cell separator is characterized in containing polyethylene terephthalate fibers used as a binder and crystallized polyethylene terephthalate fibers, and containing 10-60% by mass of polyethylene terephthalate fibers used as a binder having a fiber length of 2.5 mm or less.
