Methods and systems for messaging. One system includes a first computing device that includes a first processor and first non-transitory computer-readable medium. The first computer-readable medium stores a first software application executable by the first processor to receive a selection of an audio-enabled emoticon from a first user, automatically insert at least one tag into a message wherein the at least one tag is associated with the selected audio-enabled emoticon, and transmit the message to a second computing device including a second processor and second non-transitory computer-readable medium. The second computer-readable medium stores a second software application executable by the second processor to translate the at least one tag into the selected audio-enabled emoticon and display the selected audio-enabled emoticon as part of the message to a second user. |
