The wind-power plant has a generator (9) which is mechanically connected to a rotor (5) over a traction drive (13) provided with a traction unit (17). Two traction drive shafts (7,11) are spaced apart from each other. The rotating movement of the first shaft is transferred to the second shaft over the loops. The generator is arranged between the upper and lower ends (3,4) of the tower (2), such that the position of the generator is defined to the tower by the weight of the generator and the mechanical stability of the tower.
