Disclosed is a control method for a portable device. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the control method for a portable device includes the steps of: detecting the bending of the portable device and determining whether a motion sensing correction operation for the bending is needed upon the bending detection; acquiring a motion sensing correction factor when the motion sensing correction operation for the bending is needed; correcting the sensing data of a motion sensor by using the motion sensing correction factor; and controlling the device by using the corrected sensing data of the motion sensor.
