The method involves detecting surrounding of vehicle (2) using a radar-based transmitting and receiving unit (5). An information carrier signal (S) comprising authentication code is transmitted by the transmitting and receiving unit to an infrastructure device (1) for enabling limited access with respect to a region of the vehicle surrounding. The transmission of authentication code is initiated, when approaching the infrastructure device.
