PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated metal sheet that prevents an appearance defect from occurring by heat treatment and prevents the discoloration of a resin-coated layer at an inner side of a container by a retort treatment.SOLUTION: A resin-coated metal sheet 1 comprises: a metal sheet 2; a resin film layer 3 formed on the front surface side of the metal sheet 2; and another resin film layer 4 formed on the back surface side of the metal sheet 2. The resin film layer 3 and the resin film layer 4 are positioned respectively on the outside surface side and inside surface side of the metallic container obtained by fabricating the resin-coated metal sheet. The resin film layer 3 is formed by a resin material having 0.5-20 J/g of the heat quantity per unit weight which is obtained by using a difference between the crystallization heat quantity and the melting heat quantity, which are measured by using the resin film coated on the metal sheet 2, and expressing the difference in terms of the heat quantity per unit weight. The resin film layer 4 is formed by another resin material having a ratio of (an ethylene terephthalate unit)/(a butylene terephthalate unit) of 20 mol%/80 mol% to 79 mol%/21 mol%. The content of an ethylene terephthalate cyclic trimer in the resin film layer 4 is 0.9 wt.% or lower. |
