<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device which can achieve an optical LPF (Low Pass Filter) effect intended by a user in a power saving manner and which enables quick imaging of a scene which it is desired to image.SOLUTION: An image pickup device 100 comprises: an image pickup element 252 for photoelectrically converting a subject image formed by a photographing optical system 101; diffusion means 253 arranged between the photographing optical system and the image pickup element, for diffusing light from the photographing optical system; driving means 254 for moving the diffusion means to a side closer to and a side away from the image pickup element; setting means 196, 192 for causing a user to perform an operation for setting relevant to an optical low pass filter effect by the diffusion means; and control means 109 for causing driving means to operate so as to move the diffusion means to a position corresponding to the setting relevant to the optical low pass filter effect.</p> |
