PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new color discrimination device capable of performing color selection even in the case of an article to be treated by hand. ! SOLUTION: A color discrimination device includes a camera 15 for imaging an article, a discrimination part 20 for discriminating color based on an image taken by the camera 15, and a subject detection part 17 in which a focal position of the camera 15 is set as a detection area. When an object (subject) held by hand is put into the detection area of the subject detection part 17 in which the focal position of the camera 15 is set as the detection area, a shutter of the camera 15 is pressed automatically at that timing. !
