In this sealed compressor (100), an intake muffler (160) is provided with an interconnecting tube (162) connected to an intake hole (151a) in a valve plate (151). The interconnecting tube (162) extends upward from the intake muffler (160) toward the other end of a cylinder (133), and a communication tube exit section (162a) is provided at the top thereof, the communication tube exit section (162a) communicating with the intake hole (151a). A recess (152d) is provided below a cylinder head (152), the recess (152d) accommodating the communication tube exit section (162a) therein. A space (152b) for the inflow of gas in a sealed container is provided between the communication tube exit section (162a) and the recess (152d). The space (152b) for the inflow of gas in a sealed container is a gap communicating with a sealed space in the sealed container (101). |
