The invention relates to a trocar with a trocar sleeve (10), comprising a valve device (12) arranged at the proximal end of the trocar sleeve (10) and comprising a trocar pin (30) which can be inserted axially into the trocar sleeve (10) through the valve device (12) and which has a hollow shaft (31) and a tapering transparent distal tip (36). An endoscopic optical unit (50), by means of which the adjacent body tissue can be observed through the distal tip, can be introduced into the hollow shaft (31) of the trocar pin, and a proximal insufflation connection (14) allows a gas to be introduced into the trocar sleeve (10). When the trocar pin (30) is inserted into the trocar sleeve (10), the distal end (16) of the trocar sleeve (10) rests against the outer circumference of a cylindrical end portion (34) of the trocar pin (30), said end portion proximally adjoining the tapering tip (36), and the gas introduced through the insufflation connection (14) enters an annular space between the outer wall of the trocar pin (30) and the inner wall of the trocar sleeve (10) when the trocar pin (30) is inserted and can exit via a distal gas outlet. The distal gas outlet is formed by at least one gas conducting channel (40) that runs in the longitudinal direction of the trocar pin (30) in the outer casing of the cylindrical end portion (34) and extends axially at least over the length over which the distal end (16) of the trocar sleeve (10) rests against the cylindrical end portion (34) of the inserted trocar pin (30). |
