A heater (70) heats a storage battery module (10). A storage battery management device (30) manages the storage battery module (10) and the heater (70). If instructed to start charging the storage battery module (10) at a set time, the storage battery management device (30) causes the heater (70) to operate before the set time, such that a storage battery cell is at at least a minimum temperature at which charging is possible, at the set time. The storage battery management device (30) is capable of calculating the operation start time for the heater (70) in order to have the storage battery cell temperature at a target temperature at the set time, on the basis of the current temperature of the storage battery cell, the target temperature for the storage battery cell, and the current ambient temperature. |
