Provided is a vertical electric tool that makes it possible to limit the overall height of the tool. The vertical electric tool is provided with housings (2, 3) that accommodate a motor (1) having an axis in the vertical direction. The housing (3) has a brush holder (9) that is inserted from the side direction, and the stator (1a) of the motor (1) is screwed to the upper section of the housing (3) from the bottom side thereof. The outer peripheral surface of the brush holder (9) is pressed by the tip section of the housing (3) and a pressing/fixing screw (11) for pressing and fixing the brush holder (9) to the housing (3) is screwed in from the bottom side of the housing. The screw stop position of the stator (1a) of the motor (1) is displaced at a predetermined angle with respect to the pressing/fixing screw (11) around the axis of the motor (1). |
